Canberra, Australia: CTO Group is pleased to announce that it has rapidly expanded its Cyber Security practice in response to strong market demand for skills in this area.
In the past few months CTO Group has continued to grow its high calibre workforce with a number appointed to dedicated positions in our fast-growing Cyber Security Practice.
The most senior appointment has been Steve McCauley, who was previously Assistant Commissioner for IT Security at the Australian Taxation Office, in addition to holding other senior roles at the Departments of Parliamentary Services and Human Services.
In addition, CTO Group has hired Cyber Security specialists with skills based in prior experience at top-tier organisations such as the Department of Defence, Leidos and DXC Technology, in addition to smaller agencies such as the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.
CTO Group has also appointed its Cyber Security Capability Leader, Luke McCoy, as Security Practice Manager to lead our fast-growing security practice. Luke said it was a privilege to lead the new team. “CTO Group’s nature as a ‘people first’ organisation ensures all of our Security Consultants are supported and provided with every opportunity to excel,” he said.

CTO Group chief executive Kane Fillingham said he was pleased to see the company’s Cyber Security practice growing so strongly.
“Luke and all of the team should be proud of the growth,” he said. “We start the new financial year in a great position to further build on this and to develop more service offerings within the Security Practice.”
